Paul Spencer, Democratic candidate for Arkansas’s Second Congressional District, released the following statement announcing his campaign’s fundraising totals for the first quarter of 2018.
Candidate Spencer provided the following statement:
“In the first quarter of 2018, our campaign has raised over $100,000 from over 2000 individual donors, leaving us with over $120,000 cash on hand. This brings our total amount raised for this election cycle to over $250,000 from over 4000 individuals in all 50 states, with an average donation of $38. The huge number of donations we have received during the first quarter of 2018 proves that our campaign continues to have the enthusiasm and resources needed to win this race.
“Every dollar we have raised has gone directly into field organization and reaching out to voters across the Second District. None of our contributions will be used to fund D.C. consultants with obsolete ideas and losing strategies. We are committed to running on issues that will make a difference to working Arkansans, such as a Medicare For All program, establishing postal banking, expanding affordable housing, and delivering quality broadband to every home in this district. We are confident that our bold vision of an America that works “From the Roots Up” and prioritizes working families will resonate with voters who have been looking for a fresh alternative to failed establishment politics.
“We look forward to the remainder of the campaign and will continue taking our message to every voter in the Second District.”
